For thirty years, Ray has specialised in Fine Art Monochrome printing and alternative printing processes. Since 1988 he has worked in digital imaging and combines both new and traditional technologies in his work. He is an experienced lecturer and workshop leader at both Art Colleges and organisations, i.e. The Royal Photographic Society.

Ray's work is held in many private collections in the UK and the USA and the Permanent Collection of The Royal Photographic Society. He is also a prolific author of magazine articles and books on photographic technique including his new book ‘Black and White Photography in the Digital Age'.

Ray has worked with PermaJet for many years, helping to test their range of inks and papers and can offer expert advice on all aspects of photography and digital imaging.
